Spaying & Neutering

Any bunny adopted from Bunny Lu will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The spay or neuter fee, along with other things, is included in your adoption fee.

Why should you spay or neuter your bunny?

If you obtained your bunny elsewhere, you may be wondering if you should spay or neuter them. The answer is YES!

  • Behavioral Issues: Rabbits that are not spayed or neutered are more likely to exhibit undesirable behaviors, such as spraying, aggressiveness, and mounting. In most cases, spaying or neutering a rabbit that is exhibiting these behaviors will correct them.
  • Health Concerns: Females that are not spayed can have rates of reproductive cancers as high as 85% by the time they are 4 years old. Male rabbits who are not neutered are at a much higher risk of testicular cancer as well.
