Welcome to Bunny Lu Adoptions

All of our rabbits are spayed/neutered, litterbox trained, and microchipped prior to adoption. We have single girls, single boys, and bonded pairs in various combinations, all eagerly awaiting new homes.

We enjoy meeting our adopters and want to make sure we can give you our undivided time and attention to find just the right rabbit(s) for you. We do not ship our rabbits out of concern for their health and well being.

If you see a rabbit or rabbits you want to meet, please contact BunnyLuRabbitRescue@gmail.com to get more information and set up an appointment. If you already have a rabbit and are looking for a companion bun, we strongly recommend bringing your rabbit along to help pick out his/her new friend.

Bunny Lu requires that our adopted rabbits live indoors and that if for any reason you are unable to keep your rabbit in the future then the rabbit must be returned to Bunny Lu.

First time/un-experienced prospective rabbit parents are required to read “A House Rabbit Primer” by Lucile C. Moore (available for $15 from Bunny Lu). We feel this is the best book available to explain what living with house rabbits is really like so that you can make an educated decision IF a house rabbit is the right pet for you. While we feel house rabbits are wonderful companions we know they are not right for everyone. At Bunny Lu we want you to be comfortable about your decision to adopt a house rabbit....and to find the right rabbit for you.

First time bunny parents should be looking at adult rabbits, preferably rabbits over 2 years of age. Baby bunnies or anything under 1 year of age will not be adopted to first time bunny parents.

Our adoption fee is noted on individual petfinder listings. Please understand that the adoption fee charged is intended to cover our actual costs for spay/neuter and microchipping....and does not cover the costs for us to provide shelter, food and litter for the rabbits while they are in our care. We have reduced the adoption fee on our senior buns to encourage you to give a home to these wonderful older buns.
